Howard County Autism Society is celebrating 30 years of connecting Autistic individuals, their loved ones, and supporters with resources and services. Our goal is to raise $100,000 at our vintage Vegas-themed CASINO NIGHT and 30th Anniversary Gala on March 11, 2023 from 7-11pm at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD!       

Will you join other area businesses and organizations in supporting the local Autism community by donating an item or service for the event’s Silent Auction?  Your donation will be acknowledged in event promotions. We especially welcome items and services that fall under our auction theme categories:   

Golf (golf course privileges, equipment, attire, golf packages) 
Sports (tickets to sports events, equipment, attire, classes) 
Experiences (cooking classes, wine tastings, craft beer, museum or behind-the-scenes tours, etc.) 
Artisanal beers, top-shelf wines and liquors 
Family-friendly experiences and services 
The Arts (live music, theater, dance performances) 
Spa/Fitness/R&R (spa packages, massage, personal training) 
Travel (vouchers for tours, hotels, airlines) 
 

Your donation will help HCAS serve an Autism community that is 8,000 strong. In 2022, HCAS 

Offered 250+ programs, such as support groups, social experiences, and educational workshops; 
Provided 1,500 hours of special education consultations and information & referral services; and 
Served over 7,000 individuals, family members and professionals in Central Maryland. 
HCAS continues to break down barriers and open doors with innovative initiatives like our Communication Board Project, and the Autism Hiring Program and Patuxent Commons housing project, which address the growing needs of Autistic adults.  

Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder in the United States. Rates of Autism diagnosis are now 1 in 44, up from 1 in 125 just 11 years ago. In Maryland, the rate is 1 in 49.  In response, our service footprint has expanded to include Montgomery County as well as Howard County and Central Maryland.
