Cast Hope’s fundraising event on August 4, 2023 at the Sunset Room of the Marina Village will be attended by people from the surrounding communities. We expect over 200 guests to include community leaders and business owners. The event will include food, live music, games, and a silent auction. We invite you to contribute to the success of this exciting evening in any way you choose, either by sponsoring a gaming table or donating a product, service or experience. Your donation will be recognized in our event program given to each of our guests. Your help is crucial to our success. Money raised will support our program so we can serve more kids in San Diego county.

Cast Hope, a local San Diego nonprofit organization that serves kids throughout San Diego County. Cast Hope was founded by Ryan Johnston, a native San Diegan, in 2009. The mission of Cast Hope is to get underserved kids into the outdoors fishing. We take kids out on the water and use fishing as a vehicle to mentor them on a personal level. We are currently taking kids from the La Mesa, Spring Valley, Mission Bay, and Encinitas areas. We show them that San Diego's resources and fishing is a lot cooler than their latest screened gadget. Our hope is we can immerse them into the outdoors to teach them a healthy hobby that connects them to the environment, their mentors, and San Diego as a whole.
