Description

The event is geared toward raising a mass amount of funds to help Caterina’s Club grow and spread our core mission of ending childhood hunger and homelessness by providing hot meals and safe homes for motel kids. Educating the youth of our communities to help keep them off the streets, help them achieve higher education, and obtain jobs to eliminate the poverty and homelessness cycle.

Founded in 2003 by Chef Bruno Serato, Caterina's Club provides warm meals, housing assistance, job training, and support to underprivileged youth living in motels and other substandard living conditions throughout Southern California. Caterina’s Club needs your help to grow the following programming:

Feeding the Kids in America served children a hot pasta dinner with protein and vegetable sauce every night throughout Southern California and currently serves 5,000 meals per day, in 109 locations, throughout 30 cities in Southern California, with over 7.3 million meals served to end childhood hunger.

Welcome Home provides qualified homeless families with relocation assistance. Working parents long to provide clean, safe housing for their children in family-friendly neighborhoods: by providing first/last month's rent and security deposits. We have helped a total of 245 families.

Chef Bruno’s Hospitality Academy is a learning opportunity for students to learn all aspects of the restaurant industry, including cuisine, nutrition, restaurant service, and administration. The Hospitality Academy has increased services from two high schools to six. To date, 695 students have participated in the Academy. Another Hospitality Academy component involves 12 students interning over the course of twelve weeks. The students intern at The Anaheim White House restaurant to learn both culinary skills and front-of-restaurant operations skills over a three-month period. Each intern is gifted a scholarship of $225 monthly.

Our capacity to remedy homelessness and hunger in our community relies heavily on our special fundraising events throughout the year and the participation of local companies and organizations.

As you review this letter, we ask you to consider joining the aforementioned community leaders in making a lasting impact in our community by sponsoring an auction item for our Annual Gala fundraiser.
