Dear Drummond Montessori Supporter,
Our children attend Drummond Montessori School and as dedicated parents we are working
hard to secure donations for our annual fundraising event, Celebrate Drummond!, which will
be held at the Logan Square Auditorium on Thursday, May 19th, 2022. We humbly ask for
your participation through donated items for our auction, which helps us raise funds for arts,
music, librarian, and other much needed teachers in our school.
Drummond Montessori Info:
● Drummond is a Chicago Public School located in the Bucktown neighborhood that
serves preschool through eighth grade students.
● Drummond families represent diverse socioeconomic backgrounds from neighborhoods
all across Chicago.
● Drummond is one of only three public schools in Chicago that practice the Montessori
method of teaching. The core values of Montessori education include tolerance and
respect in order to prepare students to be engaged and thoughtful members of our
society.
Why Donate?
● As a public school, Drummond is impacted by the lack of funding from CPS. The
proceeds generated from our fundraising efforts will be used to bridge significant gaps
in technology, art, and music education. Last year’s funds provided Drummond students
with a full-time music teacher; a position that otherwise would have been eliminated.
● Friends of Drummond is a 501(c)(3) organization, therefore any donations you make to
our organization are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
● Your business name and donation item(s) will be featured on both the online auction
site, as well as at our event, which is expected to draw over 200 guests.
