Our 13th Celebrate the Light Gala will honor the work of Salt 'n Light Youth Ministry and our impact among youth and young adults for the past two and a half decades. Our organization seeks to provide safe spaces for youth to grow in the arts, in service to their communities, in relationships with peers and adults, and in their own faith through worship and connection. We minister to 600 youth and young adults each year through our camps, festivals, conferences, retreats, after school programs, service opportunities, and local youth ministry partnerships. Our ministry is relationship focused, providing a place for kids to be seen, heard, and cared for. With mental health crises on the rise, having spaces of compassionate listening and acceptance are more important than ever. We employ 12-16 high school and college students each year to be ambassadors of our vision which is "youth reaching youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ". Our whole team seeks to emulate the love and empathy of Jesus as we reach out to a lonely and struggling generation of kids, regardless of their faith background. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, our organization is dependent on generous giving to support us. Our gala provides a significant portion of our annual budget through sponsors and donors who will contribute to our silent auction! Our cocktail reception will explore several integral parts of Salt ’n Light including, worship, creative arts and testimonies from those impacted by the ministry.

This year’s event will be held at The National Civil War Museum, a permanent, nonprofit educational institution created to promote the preservation of material culture and sources of information that are directly relevant to the American Civil War.
