Will you celebrate with us?
WCYR was founded in 1977 by two women who saw a need in their community and wanted to make a difference. With no support or resources other than their car, these women began helping mothers exit abusive relationships and find meaningful employment, all still only from their vehicle! Forty-five years later, we are proud to say we continue the spirit of this mission by offering free wraparound support and programs for women in our community. 

This year we will be hosting a celebration where we want to share our journey over the past 45 years. Our journey wouldn't exist without our volunteers, service users, community partners and donors, which is why we hope to celebrate together! 

The event will bring all our supporters together to celebrate our successes and milestones. We will have a guest speaker provide an engaging motivational speech, vendor tables, horderves and even a goody bag to remember the night! Additionally, WCYR will be releasing our next strategic plan guiding our future for the next 2-5 years!

The event will be held in Newmarket, ON, this October and is free to attend on a donate-if-you-can basis.
