Central High School, founded in 1836, is the second oldest public high school in the United States and one of the premiere academic magnet schools in Pennsylvania.  On May 21, 2022, the Home and School Association of Central will host Celebrating Central Auction, a fundraiser at Discovery Center, 3401 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia. 

Every dollar raised by the Central Home & School Association is put directly back into the school.   In the past funds raised have allowed for significant bathroom renovations; additional lockers; air conditioning in our classrooms; laptops for teachers and grants for all 10 departments.  In addition to Department Grants, funds raised from this year’s auction will be used to renovate a student-centered space used for club meetings, tutoring, and many other uses in our otherwise fully utilized school building.  Providing space to help students stay centered, focus on mental health and maintain a healthy balance has become a priority at Central
