Central High School, founded in 1836, is the second oldest public high school in the United States and one of the premiere academic magnet schools in Pennsylvania.  On May 6, 2023, the Home and School Association of Central will host Celebrating Central Auction, a fundraiser at Fleisher Art Memorial, 719 Catharine Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19147.  Our event includes food, drinks and desserts along with a fantastic silent and live auction.  

Every dollar raised by the Central Home & School Association is put directly back into the school. In the past funds raised have allowed for significant bathroom renovations and additional lockers.  During Covid, we raised money for laptops for teachers and outdoor furniture for students to have space to gather.  Every year we offer Department Grants.  Funds raised from this year’s auction will be used to further renovate a student-centered space for club meetings, tutoring and quiet space in our otherwise fully utilized building. After the past two years, providing support for social growth and mental health has become a priority for our students.
