Central High School, founded in 1836, is the second oldest public high school in the United States and one of the premiere academic magnet schools in Pennsylvania.  On May 4, 2024, the Home and School Association of Central will host Celebrating Central Auction, a fundraiser at the Discovery Center, 3401 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia, Pa 19121. 

Every dollar raised by the Central Home & School Association directly supports the students and school.  Recently, funds raised have allowed for the renovation of student-centered spaces for club meetings, tutoring and quiet spaces in otherwise fully utilized building.   During Covid, we raised money for laptops for teachers and outdoor furniture for students to have space to gather.  Funds raised in this year’s auction will be used to provide funding for Junior Varsity uniforms, provide support for student clubs, continue renovation of student spaces and funding annual Department Grants.
