On September 8, 2021, Mission San Gabriel Arcangel. the 4th of California's Historic Missions began the yearlong celebration of the 250th anniversary of its founding. Among the many milestones we have reached, we celebrate being the oldest historic structure in all of Los Angeles County, the oldest consecrated cemetery, and the patroness of the City of Los Angeles. Our Mission remains a diverse and vibrant campus that hosts two parish schools; a Christian Service Center; a rich, historic art collection; and a Food Pantry program that services over 200 families weekly. The Mission is the anchor of the City of San Gabriel's historic Mission district.

To commemorate this important anniversary in Mission history, and to celebrate the unity in
diversity of the San Gabriel community that we strive to reflect, we will be hosting a gala dinner dance on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the San Gabriel Hilton.  I am proud to serve as the current Pastor, joining a long line of Claretian Missionaries who have staffed Mission San Gabriel since 1908.

We are asking Friends of the Mission to support this event in various ways:

• Most importantly, join us that evening. Buy two tickets-or better yet, buy a table.
• Sponsor the band, or the DJ, or the decor for the evening.
• Donate gifts, or gift packages, for our Silent Auction.
• And, of course, monetary gifts are always welcome.

All the proceeds from this event will be directed to our Operating Budget, which was negatively affected by the arson fire on July 11, 2020, and the pandemic. We are a registered 501(c)3 and any donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the tax law; our tax ID number is 95-6002795.
