Frostig School (grades 1-12) was founded in 1951 and is a non-profit (EIN 95-2098575) that works to improve the lives of children and teens with complex learning differences. Learning differences interfere with the student’s ability to acquire or demonstrate
knowledge, and although they cannot be cured, with proper support and interventions students can learn to compensate for their areas of weakness.

Most special needs schools similar to Frostig do not accept publicly funded students. Frostig is one of the few special needs schools with a commitment to serve children from families in all walks of life. But we need to raise funds in order to continue our good work. It is for this reason that we host an annual gala and auction. This year's event will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Altadena Country Club. Each year we sell over 200 tickets, bringing people who care together to help support Frostig's programs and our students. 

The 2022 Gala was cannceled due to COVID, but this year we are back with our theme which is "Celebrating the Posabilites." This theme helps to encapsulate the many oppertunities that Frostig School provides to our incredible students and the posabilites that these students have to thrive now and beyond.
