My name is  Kiki Smith and I am the fundraising  coordinator for the South East Area Coalition.  We are in the midst of planning our largest fundraiser, Celebrating the South East Area, which will be held on September16,  2022.  I am reaching out to you for support, hoping you will donate an item for our auctions and raffles held during the event. Any gift is greatly appreciated.

All proceeds from your donation allow us to continue advocating for our communities, neighborhoods, and local businesses like yours through grassroots projects and initiatives.  Additionally, your donation and support will be acknowledged on our website and event communications.

SEAC promotes quality of life within Rochester's South East area by connecting individuals and community partners to essential resources. Since we opened  a comprehensive tool lending program in April, we have enrolled over 200 members, including several Rochester Neighborhood Associations and Community Organizations and businesses, rented out over 600 tools, and developed an inventory of nearly 700 tools from clamps, to hedge trimmers and chainsaws, to pressure washers, sanders, power drills, augers, and more!  Most importantly, in this short time, we saved Greater Area Rochesterians roughly $43,000 in tool purchases.  That’s money residents can use to elevate themselves financially, pay off bills, spend on better materials for renovations/repairs, or reinvest in the community, whether it is a fun night out at a locally owned eatery, tickets to a gallery, or show, or indulging in self-care at a shop, salon, or boutique.

Your support has already allowed us to have a meaningful impact in the South East Area like:

•            Created a Vocational Scholarship Program for youths in need at the Center for Youth.

•            Obtained funding for street beautification projects for several local Business Associations.

•            Held anti-poverty drives, which gathered needed supplies for organizations.

•            Created the ROCing the Takeout initiative to combat effects of the pandemic, supporting local . eateries.

•            Organized and participated in several neighborhood clean sweeps.
