Celebrity Waiter Dinner
Gala/Party for Bear River Renaissance PartnershipFeb 08, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Dear Community Supporter,
Bear River is a K-8 School which prides itself on providing an environment which encourages academic excellence by acknowledging students’ efforts and good behavior. At the heart of this school culture is the Bear River Renaissance program. Our program provides recognition for student achievement and supports student activities at the school.
The Renaissance Program began in 1999. In 2001, Bear River had 44% of its students recognized for having a 3.0 GPA or better. In 2016, we recognized 73% of our students for achieving a 3.0 GPA or better. We attribute much of that to our Renaissance Program. One of the most powerful components of the program is that every student with a 3.0 GPA or better is given a theme-based Renaissance t-shirt. These are coveted items at Bear River. Seeing this sea of achievement is inspiring to the students, teachers and community as they celebrate each trimester at the Renaissance Rally. As the school’s most formal event, this celebration brings hundreds together in a show of unity to honor the accomplishments of students, staff, faculty and community members, and to rededicate themselves to the principles of “It Takes a Community to Raise a Child.”
With dwindling budgets and greater demands being placed on education, it becomes necessary to find additional streams of revenue to continue to offer incentives, such as the t-shirts to our students; our future. Our Annual Celebrity Renaissance Dinner is one of the ways that we continue to fund the Renaissance program. February 8, 2020, Bear River Middle School and the Bear River Renaissance Partnership will host its ninth Annual Julie Tyler Renaissance Celebrity Dinner. This celebrity waiter dinner incorporates certain key elements -- high-profile members of the community serving as waiters, a live auction, and a night of healthy competition, all culminating in financial reward for the hosts.
This is where we need your help; we need items donated to contribute to our silent auction and basket raffle. Donations may include merchandise or services provided by your company. We do know that support during this difficult economic time is a struggle; however, there are many benefits. Your product and company name will be promoted at our dinner attended by 300+, and your name will appear on our list of donors in the program. In addition, as a non profit foundation (EIN is 26-3517406), your donation is tax deductible. But most importantly your company will be known as a supporter of education, which is another way to show your community that you can help students be successful.
Thank you for your consideration, and we would very much appreciate any donation you could make.
Thank you,
Teri Potter
