Description

The mission of the Center is to help children and young adults with physical disabilities maximize their independence. We do this by offering Conductive Education programs that develop their motor functions in a manner that promotes positive self-direction, self-esteem and an "I Can!" attitude. Since 1998, the Center has provided services to more than 800 children and young adults with physical disabilities and approximately $12,000,000 in charitable services. No child has ever been turned away, nor program hours reduced, due to inability to pay – your support helps to keep that commitment! The Center’s programs ensure children with physical disabilities learn the skills they need to be successful in a regular education classroom who grow up to be fully participating, employed adults. The Center meets all 20 Better Business Bureau of Chicago Standards for Charity Accountability, is rated Platinum by Guidestar Charity Navigator, and was awarded a 2018 Top Non-Profit Award by Philanthropedia!

The Annual Benefit is the single largest fundraiser we hold each year and we are celebrating our 21st year! There is a golf outing during the day and a raffle, auction, dinner, and dance at night. The event runs solely on the help and donation of community and business members. The Center uses our funds wisely - 90% of every dollar donated is directly spent on the Program, with only 10% towards Management and Funding. The Benefit will be held on September 27, 2019 at Seven Bridges Golf Course and Bobak’s Signature Events in Woodridge, IL. Around 450 people attend the event and your donation will be highlighted in the program book as well as our Annual Newsletter distributed to 4,000 donors. 100% of proceeds will directly support intensive motor training programs for children with physical disabilities. Thank you for your consideration!
