CFI 22nd Annual Benefit
Online Auction for Center for Independence Through Conductive Education Inc.Sep 12, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
COVID-19 might have shut us in, but it didn’t shut us down! The mission of the Center for Independence is to help children and young adults with physical disabilities maximize their independence by offering motor programs that promote positive self-direction, self-esteem and an “I Can!” attitude.
The Center’s physical doors closed on March 16, 2020. Immediately, our therapeutic staff began providing FREE virtual therapy to the children and young adults with physical disabilities so they were able to stay healthy, active and safe. The Center is committed to fulfilling our mission, even in the face of a global pandemic. Our doors reopened on July
6th and we are grateful to provide hands-on services once again! Since 1998, the Center has served more than 800 children and young adults and provided over $12,000,000 in charitable services. 63% of children that attend Center programs live in low-income households and face barriers to service. No child has ever been turned away, nor program hours reduced, due to insurance or income limitations.
For the first time ever, our annual fundraiser will be held virtually on September 12th!100% of proceeds directly support intensive motor training programs for children and young
adults with physical disabilities.
We appreciate all donations. If you have any questions on how to contribute, email Samantha at sbondi@cfice.org or call us at (708) 588-0833.
