I am delighted to share a momentous occasion–our library's 100th Anniversary!

Since our founding, the Wissahickon Valley Public Library has been a beacon of knowledge, creativity, and community spirit. Now, as we prepare to celebrate this remarkable milestone, we invite you to join us in commemorating a century of literary enrichment and cultural growth.

The Wissahickon Valley Public Library is hosting a “Cheers to 100 Years” Fundraiser on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM. It will be held at the Main Library at 650 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA. This fundraiser will have beer, wine & cocktail tastings and wonderful appetizers from local restaurants, as well as a large silent auction with over 100 items that you can bid on online. 

The funds will be used to fix plumbing issues and renovate the bathrooms, which have not been touched since 1994.  After that, the parking lot needs to be resurfaced. Only after these major tasks are completed, will we start working on interior changes such as improved study rooms, new carpet, furniture and paint. We would love to have the outside of the library reflect all the wonderful activities going on inside. 

We are asking you to contribute a gift basket or gift certificate to the silent auction.

If you can help us, we need the items by March 1, 2024.

To recognize your support of the library and our community, we will be acknowledging donors at the event, in advertisements at the library, on the library's Facebook page, on our website (www.wvpl.org) and in our newsletter, which has a circulation of over 8,000 homes.
