On Thursday, April 8, 2021, CHEO’s For the Kids Gala will inspire attendees across the region through a fully virtual experience, including: an online auction; a 3D visual arts showcase; an interactive food & beverage tasting; and a virtual talent show featuring the amazing abilities and unique skills of some of the incredible kids who are supported by Development & Rehabilitation at CHEO.

Last year the sold-out event attracted over 600 professionals from Ottawa’s business community and was set to dazzle guests on April 1, 2020 before the pandemic restricted our plans. Thankfully, despite having to cancel the in-person portion of the event due to COVID-19, the 2020 For the Kids Gala featured more than 300 silent auction items and ended up raising $163,500 for the hospital.

For the past 24 years, the money raised through this event has been helping children and youth at CHEO who are faced with physical and developmental disabilities and associated behavioural needs. Development & Rehabilitation at CHEO includes a variety of programs and services for children who need help with walking, talking, hearing, learning, or even recovery from an injury.
