Childrens Water Education Festival
Carnival/Festival for National Water Research Institute/ Orange County Water DistrictMar 27, 2024 8:00 AM to Mar 28, 2024 3:00 PM
The 27th annual Children’s Water Education Festival, the largest event of its kind in the nation, will take place March 27-28, 2024 at the University of California, Irvine. More than 5,000 third, fourth and fifth grade students and their teachers are expected to attend the event, which is presented by the Orange County Water District with support from the National Water Research Institute.
The Festival presents a unique opportunity to educate students about local environmental issues and empowers them to take action to protect natural resources. Organizations and public agencies from Orange County and throughout California dedicate their time to teach these young environmental stewards. Since its inception, more than 147,000 children from schools throughout Orange County have been able to experience the Festival and all it has to offer.
This two-day event requires more than 500 volunteers. To express our appreciation for their time and commitment, volunteers have a chance to participate in an opportunity drawing that includes great prizes. We would be honored if you would support this worthwhile event by donating a gift card or item from your place of business to include in the drawing. Your donation will help communicate gratitude to the wonderful volunteers who make this event possible.
