Description

Dear Potential Supporter, We’re happy to announce that Inland Valley Recovery Services’ (IVRS) 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Like so many events this year, the event will go virtual, with an online silent auction. We’ll also have an offering unique to 2021: a Chili Cook-Off Cookbook. This cookbook will feature recipes from many past cook-off participants and winners over the years. Our popular event, with a virtual twist, will be sponsored by the Miller Family Trust and the Landecena Family Foundation. At IVRS, we have seen firsthand the devastating impact of the pandemic on people struggling with addiction and those in recovery. Social isolation, coupled with the stress and uncertainty of the health implications and economic repercussions of the pandemic, have worsened substance use issues. We are steadfastly committed to our clients and optimistic about our ability to serve them, but we acknowledge that there are still many challenges ahead of us. Proceeds from past Chili Cook-Off events have been used to enhance IVRS’s wide range of treatment services. This year’s special focus will be on completion of the outdoor recreation area for the men and children at our residential program. The park has been evolving over the past several years, and now we need to add the finishing touches: landscaping, exercise equipment, and park benches. Our fundraising goal for this year’s event is $50,000. Since our first Chili Cook-Off in 2006 our sponsors and guests have generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is because of those contributions that we will continue to be a premier agency serving the Inland Empire. We encourage you to visit our website at www.inlandvalleyrecovery.org and to follow us on social media to learn more. We invite you to partner with us by sponsoring the event, donating items for the silent auction, advertising in the cookbook, or helping in other ways by contacting the event team at (909) 327-6077. All donations are tax deductible. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
