The San Jose Police Emerald Society is a 501 (c)(3) public charity. Our organization consists of actively sworn and retired law enforcement officers and civilian volunteers. Your contribution is essential for us to pursue our mission in “Rendering Support and Keeping their Memory Alive”. Our mission, utilizing our bagpipe and drum band, is to honor police officers, firefighters, first responders, and local military personnel who had made the ultimate sacrifice.

The San Jose Police Emerald Society has one major fundraiser a year. The donations received at the fundraiser fund operating expenses, band equipment, instruments, instrument parts, uniforms, and travel expenses to perform at memorials and ceremonies. We are the only Emerald Society law enforcement band in Northern California. No member of our organization receives any salary for the work that is done or for any performances. All activity is volunteer work by the San Jose Police Emerald Society members.
