On Monday, May 5, 2025, First Tee – Fresno will be hosting their largest fundraiser of the year, The Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament, to benefit the 39,000 children in the Central Valley, served by First Tee - Fresno. This will be our 62nd year hosting this event and we hope to make it an enormous success. Our event contains two different means to raise funds for First Tee - Fresno. The first is the golf tournament itself. Second, we have a raffle and a silent auction in which we try to obtain a wide variety of donations to generate interest in the event to help raise more money. In 2008, First Tee- Fresno became the sole benefactor of this event, and I am proud to say that since then, $650,000 has been raised for the children. With the tremendous growth of this event, we are reaching out more to local and national businesses for their help in maintaining the success of this event.

First Tee of - Fresno is an amazing non-profit organization that teaches children aged 4-17 about the game of golf. In addition, they also teach valuable life skills that apply on and off the golf course. First Tee - Fresno turns no child away due to a family’s inability to pay. They also go to schools in underprivileged areas and work with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club to bring golf to children who may not get to experience the game otherwise. First Tee - Fresno also provides college scholarships to several high school kids each year. Funds raised in the Cinco de Mayo Charity Golf Tournament really impact what First Tee - Fresno can do for the kids throughout the year.
