City's Shining Stars is an annual benefit held at the famous Chicago Drake Hotel. Over 100+ guests are expected to attend to celebrate the progress of the specialty school and its neurodiverse students. Guests will experience the beauty of a historic hotel while enjoying beverages and delicious orderves donated by the hotel's partner restaurant businesses. There will be live entertainment by the hip hop crew, Jonathan St. Clair and Friends, live acoustic music and the emcee, Tina Jenkins Crawley of Beatnik Music. Throughout the whole event guests will be able to bid on items donated by Chicago businesses and City Elementary donors. There will also be a raffle for a high-value prize given out at the end of the event. The auction items are a great way for donors and businesses to be seen by our community. We also provide sponsors and donors with advertising that reaches an estimated audience of 221 million. The names of all donors, sponsors and organizations that supported the auction and raffle will be on event marketing materials. This will include event programming, social media, emails and newsletters. 

Many of our students have dealt with challenging situations in previous school settings. Lumped under the special education umbrella in public schools, they are not always provided the supports needed for them to succeed. City Elementary provides expert professionals to meet them where they are at socially, emotionally and academically. This is done with small classroom sizes, emotional regulation, and designing individual, educational plans for students. As a donor, supporting our students and staff will help change the lives of our neurodiverse students, especially those in families that need financial aid. We can assit in providing that financial aid with your help. The life skills taught at City Elementary are what help students not only advocate for themselves, but are able to reach their fullest potential.
