To celebrate their year of service coming to an end, our 26 AmeriCorps Members at City Year Buffalo will spend the day at Six Flags, Darien Lake. We are respectually requesting an in-kind donation of 26 tickets to recognize their hard work. 

City Year's mission is to help students and schools succeed. We partner with schools in communities challenged by persistent inequities in our education system to create learning environments where all students can build on their strengths and fully engage in their learning. Through our Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) program, City Year Buffalo deploys diverse teams of AmeriCorps members to serve full time as Student Success Coaches in our partner schools and provide a comprehensive set academic and social-emotional supports that help students reach grade-level academic proficiency and stay on track to graduate from high school, ready for college and career.

City Year Buffalo's AmeriCorps teams serve at five partner schools for the 2021/22 school year: Buffalo Collegiate Charter School, Persistence Prep Academy Charter School, Enterprise Charter School, Charter High School for Applied Technologies, and Charter Middle School for Applied Technologies. The schools we are currently serving in have a combined enrollment of nearly 2,150 students, over 90% of whom qualify for free/reduced-price school meals.
