Description

Community Living Alliance is a local nonprofit agency that provides in-home care to the elderly and all people with disabilities so they may live independent lives and remain in their homes and community. Most of us will have some connection to caregiving in our lives. We may know someone who is caring for another, we may become caregivers ourselves for our family or friends, or we may need caregiving. Caregivers do their work when people are facing challenges and change. We will always need caregivers!  We are excited to host a fundraiser event once again, but we need your support.  This fundraiser supports our Caring for the Caregiver Fund.  This fund allows us to support our caregivers when “life happens” resulting in unexpected expenses such as car repairs, medical expenses, food, and housing insecurity.  The fund also provides bereavement support when workers lose clients and related wages.

 

The fundraiser will be held on June 5, 2025, at the Goodman Center- Brassworks Building. There are many ways you can play a part in this fundraising event.   The best way to support CLA’s mission and show appreciation to our caregivers is by attending our event.  There are many ticket/sponsorship packages (see below).  We are asking individuals and local companies for donations, sponsorships, silent auction items, and/or bottles (can be alcohol, wine, beer, olive oil, etc.) for the cork pull feature.  To recognize donations all silent auction items should include information regarding donor company/person. If there is information you want share about the items donated, the artist or service or business, please include.    Past silent auction items include hotel overnight stays, artwork, massages, housekeeping, jewelry, small appliances, gift certificates, gift baskets, experience gifts, waterpark tickets, sporting event tickets or memorabilia, and general unique items of interest. All donations over $200 receive documentation for tax purposes.   Be creative!
