Now in its 5th year, Cocktails for CASA is a festive evening of delicious food, fun cocktails, fabulous auction items, and great music.  It’s no wonder this event has sold out every year! As a Host Committee member, I am anticipating another wonderful evening with guests who are passionate about CASA’s mission to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Because the foster care system is complicated and overwhelming for kids, CASA provides trained advocates who visit them monthly to get to know them and their needs. With a three-person team of CASA Volunteer, CASA Case Supervisor, and Staff Attorney, CASA advocates for a child’s best interests throughout their time in foster care. As a result, children with CASA Volunteers spend less time in foster care, perform better in school, and achieve a safe, permanent home sooner than children without a CASA Volunteer.

To work toward our goal of providing all children in foster care in Jackson County with a CASA Volunteer, we need your help. Our committee has a goal of raising $100,000 for this event. Please consider donating an item valued at $50 or greater to be included in the Silent Auction, or an item or experience valued at $500 or more for our Live Auction. Perhaps you have airline miles, or gift cards, or access to a unique experience or vacation home? And, while we love big items and experience, we can combine smaller donations with others to create truly exciting packages.
