Description

At the Warminster Township Free Library our mission is to provide free access to diverse information, arts and culture, and civic resources to improve lives and foster a lifelong love of learning. Each summer, we host our annual Summer Reading Program encouraging children, teens, and adults to read and learn during the summer months.

Summer reading is a tradition dating back to the late 19th century. It promotes literacy and a love of lifelong learning for all ages. The Warminster Township Free Library expands on that goal by tackling the loss of academic achievement in the summer months when the interruption of school-based learning negatively impacts a child’s retention and development of reading and mathematical skills. We offer free programs and services that inspire young minds and build lifelong reading habits in a safe and welcoming environment. Our ultimate goal is to foster a love of reading, libraries, and learning.

This year, the theme for Summer Reading is "Color Our World” and is a universal theme adopted by many libraries across the country. We will be holding literary, arts, science, and history programs throughout the summer months. Summer reading starts on June 16 and runs for 7 weeks until August 3rd. To make it a success, we’re reaching out to community partners like you to help us provide the resources, activities, and incentives that make this program engaging and impactful.

We are seeking in-kind contributions, such as gift cards, tickets, books, or small prizes. Your support will be acknowledged in our program materials, library displays, and social media, showcasing your dedication to fostering education and literacy in our community.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community. Together, we can keep the joy of reading alive and help our community thrive.
