Description

The Speech Language Pathologists at Columbus Speech & Hearing created this event to educate families of children with developmental delays on ways to provide speech support in a sensory-friendly, fun environment. We’ve created a Halloween experience that eliminates scary decorations, minimizes challenges that children with special needs often face, and encourages participation at each child’s own level and pace.

We'll have a fun activity in each room for families to discover: a magician, character meet & greet, an interactive musician, crafts, trick-or-treat rooms, a quiet room, and more! Items will likely be used in our event raffle to raise money since this is a free event.

300+ attendees at the event plus 14,000 newsletter recipients will be exposed to your brand through your in-kind donation.

Columbus Speech & Hearing is a nonprofit that serves over 8,000 people locally with speech and hearing disorders every year. We don’t turn anyone away if they’re unable to pay. Seniors, children, and individuals with special needs are the groups majorly impacted by these issues. Without the ability to effectively communicate, these vulnerable groups feel unheard, misrepresented, disconnected, a lack of independence, and usually struggle with school and work—two huge building blocks of success. We are currently one of the only providers in the area that accepts Medicaid, which makes our services crucial to those needing access to affordable hearing aids and speech therapy.

The proceeds we raise will support these services that so many people rely on but struggle to afford. Thank you for your consideration!
