Description

Combat Boots 2 The Baordroom will be hosting our 3rd Annual Gala and Silent Auction on November 19, 2022. This annual event raises money so we can provide support to veterans and their families as they transition from military life to civilian life. Over the past four years, we have assisted numerous veterans and their families with this transition. In addition, we give back to kids through our Kits 4 Kids program, through back-to-school giveaways, Toys 4 Tots, college scholarships, and other kid friendly events. For more information about some of our past events, please visit our website combatboots2theboardroom.com.

We believe in this cause, because this is something that impacted our family. As a veteran who made the transition my family understands the challenges families face. Many veterans are already experiencing mental health challenges (PTSD and Depression) and when confronted with a new world and new challenges it can be overwhelming and add to a veterans mental health challenges. As a veteran who suffers from PTSD and Depression, not only myself but my family understands the impact on the veteran and their family. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible, by providing support to the entire family. We share our story to help veterans and their families see their is light at the end of the tunnel and while it is a challenge, finding your purpose can make the process "easier." Not only did my family start this non-profit, but I successfully wrote a novel, and started my next career working with the federal government and my wife has a successful career working with the federal government as well. Even though my transition went better than most, I still face challenges, but through our work we are we honest and try to help them suceed professionally, because this can alleviate a lot of stress in the family.
