The 19th annual online Silent Auction will take place from March 13-20, 2024, and will be held in conjunction with our in-school basket raffle. School families, friends and members in the community can view the auction items and experiences on our silent auction website and can bid at any point during the week.  On the last night of the auction, we have a well attended in person event to finalize raffle winners and promote the items available for bidding from the auction.  We highlight all of our donors with a slideshow and shout outs.   In addition, we publicize the auction and generous donors over our social media and email communications from February to March with an audience of over 1,500 individuals.

Combs Elementary is a public magnet elementary in Raleigh, serving more than 600 students from the various municipalities in Wake County, including but not limited to Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh and Garner.  The magnet theme is Leadership and Combs is the first ever Lighthouse Leadership School in the world. Leadership skills are adopted from “The Eight Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey. Teaching our students how to become leaders is a practice that is integrated in all lessons and activities throughout the school day and in the community.
