Dear Donations Request Coordinator,

 Every spring the Edison Elementary School PTA in Alameda, California hosts a Spring Auction & Gala, our largest PTA fundraiser making up nearly half of our annual budget. This spring the event will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

 All proceeds from the Spring Auction & Gala go to the Edison School PTA and directly benefit the students at Edison Elementary. In an era of budget cuts, the Edison School PTA is essential to providing a top-notch education at Edison. The PTA funds educational programs like our garden science program, assemblies and field trips, technology education, and art lessons. In addition, the Edison School PTA supports vital enrichment activities like a school counselor and school psychologist intern, diversity and inclusion programming, and a social emotional learning program.  The Edison PTA also pays for all school supplies and classroom basics. As a result, we ensure that all of our students have equal access to school supplies, field trips, and enrichment programs, regardless of their household income. 

 We are seeking auction items for our 2020 Spring Auction and Gala and hope you can contribute to the event. A donated item from you will make this year’s auction an exciting shopping event for the Edison School community! This event is promoted to over 400 families and friends of Edison Elementary and is an excellent opportunity to market to hundreds of households in the Fernside and East Shore districts of Alameda. Many families have discovered new activities, interest, and new favorite retailers through our auction. Your fully tax-deductible donation is an excellent opportunity for you to show your support for education as well as connect with local families.

The Edison School PTA is a 501(c)(3).  Tax ID number is 94-6172011. Please contact us by phone at (510) 499-5324 or via email at auction@edisonpta.org if you would like to arrange for donation pick-up or with any questions you may have about our school or the fundraiser. Our print deadline is Saturday, March 2nd and so we graciously ask that all donations be submitted by Friday, February 28th.
