Compassionate Feast
Gala/Party for Humane Society of Huron ValleyNov 01, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
The Compassionate Feast is our annual gala celebration of our 4-legged friends. The elegant affair features a cocktail hour and much-anticipated silent auction (ideal for holiday gifts!), followed by a gourmet vegetarian/vegan feast. This year, we are thrilled to present a celebrity guest, Jackson Galaxy, as our headline speaker. On his journey from entry-level shelter worker to America’s Cat Daddy and host of Animal Planet’s hit show “My Cat From Hell,” Jackson Galaxy has made it his mission “to improve the lives of animals at risk by transforming the places they live and helping the people who care for them.” He speaks with passion and pizazz about all things cats, and will make this an unforgettable evening.
A little more about the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV): We accept all types of unwanted, injured, lost and abused animals. Donations are used wisely and well: we have received 8 consecutive premium ratings from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management and accountability, and have been voted Outstanding Shelter by the MI Pet Alliance for having a 96% save rate. Each year we help over 20,000 cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and other small animals. We are completely independent from all other humane societies, and receive no monetary donations from any other animal welfare organizations.
