The Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra presents their 2022 Winter Gala Concert at the Kavli Theater: the culminating concert of our fall semester and a celebration of the next generation of musicians in our community. CVYO is home to the most talented and accomplished young musicians of our region who have grown and studied together throughout this academic year.

This concert also celebrates Bill Benson’s 28 years with CVYO (with 20 at the helm as director), as he performs Marquez’ Danzon no. 2 with CVYO’s Symphony Orchestra. Guest conductor Karen Sanchez (associate director for 20 years) returns for a special appearance on our closing number.

All 5 of CVYO’s ensembles perform the great masterworks of music literature with young musicians from grade school to pre-college levels. With works by Mozart, Sibelius, Marquez and Holst.
