CTNC is a conservation organization grounded in the land yet powered by the people we serve
alongside. For nearly three decades, we have worked with community partners, landowners and
land trusts, government agencies, and elected officials to conserve some of North Carolina’s most
treasured lands. Our work along the Blue Ridge Parkway has protected more than 36,000 acres of
wild and scenic areas of the state.

As we look toward the future, CTNC is committed to a vision for North Carolina where all people
share in the benefits of healthy lands. We are establishing a process for our work that supports even
greater funding for land and water conservation, includes and serves more racially and
socioeconomically diverse communities, factors the impacts of climate change into long-range
conservation planning, and increasingly connects land conservation to the economic and social
needs of all people in our state. To be consistent with our values, relevant to the times we live in,
meaningful to the people we work with, and effective into the future, we must deliver conservation
action that achieves climate resilience, racial equity, and strong communities to build a more
resilient, just North Carolina.

For the past ten years, CTNC friends and supporters have gathered annually in celebration of our
work at the historic and beautiful Gideon Ridge Inn. Cobb and Cindy Milner have hosted this special
evening that has been the only annual fundraising event for CTNC. This year, due to COVID-19, we
have moved the event to an online experience and silent auction. The auction is a new addition this
year that we hope will attract new donors and supporters to CTNC’s bold new vision.
