Description

.  We are hosting our annual fundraising event, Autumn Splendor, as an effort for our school family and community to raise funds for Cornerstone. This elegant and festive evening includes a presentation by our board of directors, delicious food, wonderful fellowship with friends, and memorable entertainment a selection of our students. Silent auction, student art, and live auctions add an exciting element to our effort to support our school’s ongoing expenses.  The evening is held at The Family Church, 2022 SW 122nd St, Gainesville, FL 32607, November 10th, 6 PM.

Like many private schools, the margin between tuition income and expenditures is thin at Cornerstone. Because we are an independent, non-denominational school, we receive no direct financial support from churches or any other organizations. Our founders chose a challenging path, but did so deliberately: to be classical and nondenominational, welcoming families and students of many different Christian walks. Currently, our student body represents over 50 churches in the Alachua County area.

This year, Cornerstone was voted Best Private School by readers of the Gainesville Sun.  As one of the smallest private schools in Gainesville with over 2/3 of our diverse student population on scholarship, this is a humbling and encouraging achievement.  We can’t help but dream of how we can even better serve our community if we were to have the funding to hire more teachers, rent more space, and provide a more enhanced learning experience.

At this event, funds are raised through corporate sponsorships, table sponsorships, ticket sales, and silent and live auction items. Any and all donations are tax deductible and our tax ID number is 59-3646631.
