Dear Business,

Shandon Elementary will be hosting our 3rd Annual Cow Patty Bingo Night on February 7, 2020.  Last year was a great success and we were able to provide so many opportunities to our students with the funds that were raised. Students were able to travel outside of our small town and attend many field trips. We were also able to provide many different assemblies and paid for several fun activities and student incentives. We made every dollar count!

Shandon Elementary School is a tiny, very rural school located in Shandon, California. Our school is a TK-8 with about 200 students. Our school services both San Luis Obispo and Monterey Counties. Our students do not get many opportunities to do things outside of Shandon. We have many students that have limited resources and not enough funds to do something as simple as going to a movie. When students win these prizes they are more likely to try new things or go to new places.

This year we are in need of help from businesses in the form of a donation. The donation will be used as a prize during our bingo night.  All proceeds will be used to fund field trips, assemblies and student incentives. Some donation ideas are: a basket full of items representing your business, a gift card, 4 admission tickets, dinner for 2, family dinner for 4, even a single item donated would be helpful and we can add it to one of our themed baskets. If you prefer to give a monetary donation we will purchase different prizes for our bingo night. We would be grateful for any donation you are willing to give.

Last year we raised almost $1,800 and our goal this year is to exceed last year’s earnings by $500. With your help and support we know we can meet our goal. We appreciate your time and consideration. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.
