CYT Chicago has been empowering youth on the stage since 1997. There are 9 local chapters of CYT Chicago from Aurora to DesPlaines to Milwaukee and thousands of lives have been impacted. Since the first theater season began in 1997 in Crystal Lake, CYT Chicago has shared the joy of live musical theater with northern Illinois and southeast Wisconsin communities, drawing over 35,000 participating families and more than one million patrons. Over the past 25 years, CYT Chicago has produced more than 460 theatrical productions. Additionally, several CYT alumni have gone on to continue professional music and theater careers in Broadway musicals and for major cruise lines, popular network television programs and original series productions, as professional directors, touring musicians in the contemporary music field, and a top three finalist for American Idol.   

We are having a 25th Anniversary Gala to raise funds and celebrate more than two decades of making a difference for students in the Chicago and Southern Wisconsin Area. We are raising money to makeup for the last two years of hardship in the theater world AND to purchase updated microphones and Mac books to continue to run our shows in the same professional way as we have for 25 years.
