Description

We are contacting you on behalf of the Dakota Valley Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of volunteer musicians and singers, and we perform at the Ames Center, where we are a resident company. This year is our 38th season and we have been at the Ames Center since it opened in 2009.

On Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm we will hold our annual benefit concert – Masquerade: A Mardi Gras Celebration.  Included in the concert will be Dvorak: Carnival Overture, Eric Whitacre: Godzilla Eats Las Vegas, John Rutter: When the Saints Go Marching In, and Berlioz: Roman Carnival Overture.

In conjunction with the concert, we will be holding a silent auction, beginning at 1:00 pm. We are asking for items to include in the auction, which will be held prior to the concert and during intermission. The items(s) must be unused and otherwise marketable/sellable, or a gift or voucher with a preferred value of $50 or more per item. Donations may be mailed to address at the bottom of this letter or we will be happy to arrange pick up of the item, which we need in-hand no later than January 30, 2024.

If you are willing to make a donation, we will provide an official letter of contribution, and you or your business will be listed in the concert program and projected above the performance stage prior to the concert and during intermission. We would be happy to display a brochure, menu or business cards on the table with your donation. We will also provide two (2) complimentary tickets to the concert for donations valued $50 or more, at your request.

We also encourage sponsorships which include free ad space and recognition in our concert program. There are different sponsorship levels available.

We thank you for your interest and support of classical music in the south metropolitan area, and we hope you can participate in our benefit.

Sincerely,

Merry Daher,

Dakota Valley Symphony – Silent Auction Committee
