Description

Preparations are underway for our annual spring fundraiser, which promises to bring the parishes, school, and community together for an enjoyable virtual evening of dining, entertainment and fun.  While the event will look and feel very different this year, we are hoping that we can count of the support of wonderful businesses such as yours to help us create a spectacular silent auction.

It takes a village

It actually does take a village to form, educate, and inspire children.  Students of Queen of the Rosary see themselves as part of a community that supports not only their school but communities in need beyond theirs.   Whether they are raising money for victims of natural disasters, keeping our towns and villages green by recycling, or collecting canned goods for the hungry, Queen of the Rosary students and their families always give generously to their school and beyond.

Queen of the Rosary School, located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, is a small Catholic school comprised of approximately 269 students ranging from 3-year-old preschool to eighth grade.  Established in 1959, Queen of the Rosary School has instituted and maintained a strong academic presence in Elk Grove Village for over 60 years.  After those sixty years, the school’s traditions and sense of community continue to attract new students, as well as second and third generations of families. Queen of the Rosary School has been an integral part of the parish and community, providing faith based, nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and spiritual development.  The school embraces the Church mandate to fulfill the mission of Christ by spreading His message through discipleship in our next generation.  Thru these hard times Queen of the Rosary pride itself on the fact that we have been able to keep it doors open for in person learning for all its students.  Strict standards and cleaning regimens have been put into place to protect our children and staff.

The children, however, need resources, which is why we are asking local businesses like yours to consider supporting our annual spring fundraiser.  The auction, which is vital to the spring fundraiser, helps supplement the school budget so our principal Ms. McGinn and the faculty can continue to offer students an excellent academic and faith-based education. The school’s main source of revenue is tuition and fundraising, as it is not subsidized by parish funds or other external sources.  As such, successful fundraising is critical to the schools ongoing ability to operate effectively and provide excellent, faith-based education.

How can I donate?

The attached forms and contact information outline various ways of supporting the fundraiser.  From the program ad book, to auction items, to raffle and cash donations – no gift is too small.

Donors will be featured in our virtual event program booklet, which will be sent out to all school families as well as everyone attending the event and placed on our school website.   Additionally, we name our sponsors on the Queen of the Rosary website (qrschool.org). As a charitable organization, we provide appropriate documentation for your donation. We are recognized as a 501(c) (3), which means your donation is tax deductible.  Our Federal Tax ID is #36-2755669.

We kindly ask that all donations be sent to school by March 19th, 2021

On behalf of everyone at Queen of the Rosary, thank you for your consideration.   Please contact one of our event chairpersons listed below if you have questions.
