Description

Good Afternoon,

I am reaching out on behalf of the Adoption Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to create permanent placements and forever connections for youth living in foster care.  The Adoption Center serves youth in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.   The Adoption Center is unique because we work with underserved, difficult-to-place, and sometimes special-needs children. No child should grow up without the support of family. Our work builds connections between children in care and adults, resulting in strong bonds. To facilitate this work, we will be holding the "Hope in Silence" online auction July 9-22, 2023. We are asking for donations of various items, gift cards, sports tickets, memorabilia, gift baskets, vacations, wine, spa packages, toys, or experiences.

The Adoption Center (23-1966667) is a registered 501(c)(3) charity, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Adoption Center's programs are centered around presenting youth to the world in a creative way to lead to a forever placement by working with social service agencies to identify children for opportunities on television, radio, newspaper, and social media that attract listeners and viewers in addition to featuring the children on our website. The Adoption Center holds Match Events that allow prospective parents to interact with foster youth looking for their forever families. The Adoption Center provides child-focused recruitment, information, and referrals to thousands of people annually through in-person and virtual Adoption 101 events, social media outreach, and online services. The Adoption Center holds cultural events, days that are purely for the youth's enjoyment. The Adoption Center's community-based mentorship program, the Anchor Project, focuses on youth 12 and up at risk of aging out of the foster care system by matching them with a mentor. The Adoption Center provides funds for emergencies and educational needs. Our goal is to expand our programs to work with more partners to offer more services to youth in foster care to help them find a forever placement.

We appreciate your consideration in participating in our “Hope in Silence” online auction.

With Gratitude,

Dana Brady

Director of Development
