Description

The Artist Relief Fund was begun by the dancers of Ballet Arizona in 2013.  The mission of the ARF is to provide the dancers of Ballet Arizona financial support in times of injury, personal hardship, and imminent career transitions while sharing meaningful relationships that enrich and educate the community.  The purpose of the ARF is to support dancers on extended leave for injury or family emergencies, career transition gifts, and tuition for college and training classes.  The ARF was born from the understanding that life's hardships and transitions can be burdensome and difficult to bear alone.  Therefore, the ARF enables dancers to take on these challenges and become meaningful members of their community.  All of the money raised at the annual fundraising event, Dancers' Choice, goes directly to the support of the dancers.

The evening presents a series of one-act ballets. The event is produced and choreographed by the dancers and gives them an opportunity to explore planning and leadership positions as well as the option to choreograph. Following the performance, the guests are able to mix and mingle with the dancers at the catered reception during which the silent auction is available for bidding.
