DeeCilla Comfort Center, in collaboration with local Dance Schools and Companies, will provide an interactive and family event for all to enjoy while spreading awareness to prevent Domestic Violence. Guests will dance the evening away as they show off their skills, moves, and routines led by area schools and instructors. Guests will travel through time remembering dances through the years, from individual dances to line dances that promote community fun and entertainment, while raising funds to support DCC’s mission to aid women and children transitioning from domestic violence and homelessness to independence. To maximize fundraising efforts, the event will also include a Chinese Auction, where participants may "bid" on donated items for a chance to win great prizes while being exposed to new businesses.

The Journey Home Housing program relies heavily on donations for its success. With minimum fundraiser opportunities, we must find ways to gain maximum participation. Hosting a Dance-A-Thon Challenge is a cross-generational event that includes participants from all areas of our community. During the event, DCC has the opportunity to raise funds and increase exposure and awareness of domestic violence while strengthening community relationships.
