Dancing Through the Decades is Annie's Angels fifth annual dance to raise funds for our oncology program, Annie's Helping Hands. The event includes a dance, silent auction, online auction, short program, head or tails game, cash bar and hors d'oeuvres. Last year this event raised $6,000 toward the program's $20,000 annual budget. This year we upgraded our venue and added the online auction, and as such are projecting proceeds to exceed $10,000 toward our 2017 budget of $23,000.

Annie's Helping Hands provides free services for six months to cancer patients and one-time services to each participant's primary caretaker. The program offers massage sessions to reduce pain and increase elasticity to scar and radiation sites, esthetic treatments to replenish skin left dry, irritated and sensitive from radiation and chemotherapy, and meditation classes to learn how to cope with emotions and fears that accompany a diagnosis of cancer. Increased relaxation helps combat insomnia and boost the immune system to create a stronger and healthier physical, mental and emotional overall wellbeing.
