Inspiration Ranch exists to provide hope and improve the lives of those with physical, mental, and emotional challenges through equine-assisted services. Our mission is brought to life through the efforts of more than 160 volunteers, the expertise of our Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH Intl.) certified instructors and Natural Lifemanship certified professionals, 21 highly trained therapy horses, and the funders who support our clients.

Inspiration Ranch does not believe anyone should go without therapeutic riding based on finances, so all clients participate with a scholarship. We serve our community through two essential programs: equine-assisted Therapeutic Riding and equine-assisted Mental Health.
The clients in our equine-assisted Therapeutic Riding Program present with an array of physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities. Therapeutic horseback riding helps with these disabilities by strengthening core muscles, building lung strength, developing hand-eye coordination, and stimulating cognitive growth. Currently, we serve over 101 clients with over 50 different diagnoses each week; 30 of those clients have multiple diagnoses. Our current growth plan projects we will grow to serve over 150 clients by the end of 2023.

The equine-assisted Mental Health Program is a unique therapy experience built on the
Natural Lifemanship model and led by a Licensed Therapist and Counselors. It is a trauma-informed and trauma-focused psychotherapy model that provides a process to build
connected relationships and overcome stress and trauma. A foundational principle of
Natural Lifemanship is that secure healthy relationships are the building blocks for all healing. This program also serves individuals suffering from severe emotional trauma as well as community partnerships that help victims of sex trafficking and at-risk and troubled youth through equine-assisted Learning.

Because therapeutic riding is not yet covered by insurance, we offer this program at a heavily subsidized rate to all clients. The actual cost per client, per ride, is $156, but families pay just 20 percent of the actual cost for a session — or $50.
Our commitment is never to allow the ability to pay to keep anyone from benefitting from therapeutic riding. Even with all rider families receiving a deep discount, 28 percent of client families pay less than the standard $50. These further reduced payments are based on financial need and Inspiration Ranch raises all funds to cover the cost of sessions through multiple fundraising efforts (i.e., grants, donations, and events). Our largest fundraiser to support the scholarship programs we offer our clients comes from our annual Gala. With over 600 in attendance each year, we are able to raise funds to support our programs with silent and live auctions.
