Hesed House is a national model for ending homelessness – one person, one family at a time. It is the culmination of over four decades of strategic evolution from a formerly acceptable model of “eats and sheets” to the area’s largest comprehensive resource center for the homeless – a campus of centralized, highly skilled professionals collaborating daily to provide the tools necessary to help individuals and families avoid becoming homeless when they are experiencing homelessness. Once they have returned to independent living. The Derby Party is our largest fundraiser of the year and an amazing opportunity for your company to show that you care about our neighbors in need. This festive celebration, held annually on the first Saturday in May, is an amazing way to leave winter behind us and celebrate the power of community! As we gather under a glorious tent with delicious food and drink, your donations will help us raise much-needed funds to support our various programs, which care for various needs throughout the year. We have separate on-site overnight emergency shelters for men, women, and families, as well as on-site and off-site supportive housing programs, homeless prevention programs, case management, and more. This afternoon has become one of the best and most impactful events in the western suburbs!
