Lucky You! Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for animals in need in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. The rescue became an official nonprofit incorporation on February 19, 2015. We are a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization.  Lucky You! is a network of foster homes. We do not have a brick and mortar location.  We have over 100 cats in foster care in about 30 different homes from Philadelphia, to Bucks and Montgomery Counties, to Wilmington, Delaware -- and we're constantly expanding!

Within the past two years, we have successfully vetted, spayed/neutered, and found homes for more than 700 cats and dogs. We have helped to trap, neuter, and release feral community cats. We've also provided pet food, funded the spay/neuter and vetting services, and offered to transport pets to and from low-income families in our local community. It costs our organization roughly $100-$200 to get each animal fully vetted and ready for adoption. This does not include accidents, unforeseen illness, and genetic disorders which have plagued our rescue on several occasions already. Additionally, several unexpected surgeries and operations have been required and we needed to fund emergency grooming for severely matted, neglected animals. Therefore, saving a single animal can cost nearly $1,000 in expenses, funds we will never see reimbursed through adoption fees. That is why we are in dire need of assistance.

Each month, Lucky You! Animal Rescue participates in pet fairs and adoption events in our local community. At these events, we encourage monetary and/or food donations.  We have also created raffle baskets and sold tickets in effort to further raise funds.  We also run an adoption center at PetSmart in Northeast Philadelphia where 8-12 cats and kittens are showcased and volunteers feed, clean, and counsel potential adopters daily. In addition, we hold ticketed events a few times through the year, and our next event is our Designer Bag Bingo being held the evening of June 9, 2017 at 7pm.  This event is happening at the Neshaminy Falls Improvement Association located in Trevose, PA, and we are expecting around 100 people to attend.  We would be so appreciative if your organization could assist us in this area through the donation of products, a gift certificate for services, or a gift card to your establishment.  It would be specifically beneficial to have donated items which would be utilized in raffle drawings for our upcoming Designer Bag Bingo event. Even seemingly small donations are of great benefit to us at this time.
