Diamonds and Denim Gala is a special event, with over 300 attendees and is held each year to raise funds that support the children, adults, and veterans living with disabilities in Kern County.  This year Diamonds and Denim will be held on Thursday, October 10th, at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace featuring a suprise musical guest! 

The Diamonds and Denim gala supports individuals like Leslie Bartling, a 27-year-old young lady who suffers from Dravet Syndrome, a rare and catastrophic form of intractable Epilepsy that results from a genetic mutation. MARE is the only form of "therapy" that her family knows she enjoys.  It is the only place she's learned to sign anything.  At MARE she signs "walk on" becuase it means something to her.  She continues to be able to walk (with difficulty) becuase she is able to work on her posture, balance, and improve her core strength.  Leslie reminds us just how import our assistance is.
