Hello! We are an all-volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization that raises funds and provides product, service connections, shelter, and life skill sets to the refugges in need. Our goal is to raise the helpless, voiceless people to be the best version of themselves making available resources, education, hot meals, culture, and job/skills training. Many of the refugees we support live under extremely compromised living conditions either in small camping tents or container homes (2 families in one container divided by a mini-restroom). And many do not have a place to live or rest at all, being exposed to various dangers, not to mention lack of basic necessities. Most of the refugees are widows and orphans and they have not received proper education including basic literacy of even their own language. Thus, we thrive to give this unfortunate population not only the basic necessities but the chance to engage in extracurricular activities in high hopes to build a community to sustain support in areas of food, essentials, culture, and education. While we have already helped many refugees up to date, we still have a lot to accomplish. Connect Refugees is hosting our first ever fundraiser which will consist of dinner, a piano concert, silent auction, raffle, and an opportunity to learn more about the charity’s mission. This event will primarily focus on raising funds to help build and run a safe resting space for the refugees in Athens, Greece. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023. We are in need of sponsors and donations to assist us in making this event a huge success. How can you help? Monetary donations are desperately needed to raise funds and to help offset the costs associated with putting on an event like this.
