This annual fundraiser takes place on Saturday August 24th, 2019 at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa. We are raising money to protect and educate the future lagoon stewards of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon. This includes our 8,750 school aged children through our Academy Programs and over 25,000 visitors last year. By accepting your mission and purchasing tickets/sponsorships to Discovery Gala 2019, you will join the elite spy’s with the “license to kill” the invasive species of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon.  The Gala includes, silent and live auctions, dinner, games, photo booths and is a whole evening event. 

We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit in Carlsbad that operates the Discovery Center, an extraordinaire collection of hands on nature activities that allow visitors to "taste nature" experiencing both the lagoon and the ecological reserve that resides. Our mission is to inspire people through education & outreach to preserve the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, as an accessible and healthy watershed.
