THE TEXAS LOUISIANA GULF COAST DISTRICT HAS BEEN SERVING EXCHANGE CLUBS SINCE 1985
Exchange Clubs organize and serve within their own communities through various service and fundraising projects.
The Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast District is dedicated to serving the individual Exchange Clubs, as a link to The National Exchange Club. The "District" provides guidance, education, and leadership training, with a focus on Club Building. There are 18 Clubs, including one Excel (High School) Club and one Collegiate Club, with a total of 425 members.
The 2022 Conference provides a variety of programs, including but not limited to, community service projects, what other clubs are doing in their communities, guest leadership trainers and inspirational speakers.
Although it is the individual clubs that organize projects, there are a some common to many, and so organization is spearheaded at the District Board level. These include the Youth awards that are chosen by a select committee, and announced at District Convention, promoting Americanism by handing out flags at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade, support of some 18 law enforcement agencies in the greater Houston area at a Crime Prevention Luncheon where outstanding officers are honored, and our National project, the Prevention of Child Abuse is the focus of Houston's ESCAPE Family Resource Center, which was started by and still supported by many Exchangites and Exchange Clubs.
