This is our 3rd Annual Milton Friends of Children’s Healthcare Down & Derby event, a Kentucky Derby style event held in Milton, GA, on May 3, 20205, benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Our fundraising event is where all our donated items are auctioned off. The Down & Derby event includes 500 people ready and eager to participate in our silent and live auctions. 

This year, funds raised by our auctions will benefit The Zone programs at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The Zone is where patients come to put their cares behind them and have fun, including parties and other special events. The Zone is 100% donor funded and is reliant on the donations and contributions from our community.  CHOA provides patients and their families with a distraction from the medical realities and give them something to look forward to while in the hospital. The Zone has activities and offerings suchas a movie room, gaming and technology, arts and crafts, college andprofessional athlete visits, a basketball court, a Putt-Putt golf area and muchmore! The Zone is also equipped with a Child Life Program that provides patients and their siblings with individual and group therapeutic activities.These activities help build positive coping techniques and promote optimal development during hospitalization.
